The 23-year-old midfielder earned a move to Stuttgart after a highly successful 2012/13 season for Melbourne Victory, the youngster finished the season as the club's top scorer with fifteen goals to his name. However since that outstanding season, Marco Rojas has struggled with game time

He's yet to appear for Stuttgart's first team and last season made two appearances for Stuttgart II in the 3.Liga. This season Rojas was sent out on loan to 2.Bundesliga outfit Greuther Fürth.

Once again he hasn't made too many appearances, in the first half of the season he made three appearances off the bench and played four times for Greuther Fürth II, in which he found the net in the victory against Wacker Burghausen.

All parties were disappointed with the loan spell and the New Zealand international has been sent out on loan to Swiss side FC Thun. Rojas joins a team very much in a battle for a European place and currently sit in 5th place and a whopping ten points ahead of 6th place. Rojas has just under a month to adapt and get to know his new team mates and he could make his debut on the 8th of February against Aarau.

VfB sporting director Jochen Schneider hopes that Rojas "shows his qualities with his new club and gains the much needed match practice."
