Bayer Leverkusen welcome Wolfsburg to the Bayer arena this Saturday in a match expected to be one of the top clashes of the season.

The visitors come as slight favourites after hugely impressing throughout the season and despite a high flying start for Roger Schmidt's men, they have dropped off the pace from UEFA Champions League qualifying and sit in a Europa League place.

Leverkusen go into the game coming off a shock  loss to Werder Bremen in which they were completely dominated. Home fans will be eager to see the likes of Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Stefan Kießling on the scoresheet against one of the tightest defences in the league. Schmidt has been praised for his tactical play and will be hoping to see his stars take all three points against the leagues second best team, and move further up the table into a Champions League place.

Wolfsburg travel to the Bayer Arena full of confidence after a comfortable 3-0 win at home to Hoffenheim last week, in which new signing Andre Schürrle got two assists. The former Leverkusen man will be looking to notch his first goal for the Wolves. Kevin De Bruyne also hugely impressed getting two goals and is set to play a key role in the top of the table clash. Dietmar Hecking can have no worries about his teams stability as the previous week showed they are strong on all fronts and are sure to push Bayern all the way.

The previous meeting this season at the Volkswagen Arena saw the home side get thrashed 4-1 by there visitors this weekend. Fans and players alike for the hosts will be hoping for different fortunes.
