Both Bild and Krone say that Austria Wien are looking towards Germany to strength their squad, in particular Daniel Frahn and Robert Almer.

Frahn has been RB Leipzig's longest serving player but has completed just two full games this season, as the East German side continue to make signings to their striking department. The German tabloid suggested that the move nearly happened in the winter, with Energie Cottbus, Preußen Münster and Halle also interested.

However it seems that the capital club are favourites to secure Frahn's signature, especially now that Leipzig have added Davie Selke to their ranks. His exclusion has been somewhat of a surprise, as the 27 year-old has scored goals at every level for the energy drink-backed club.

Almer, now 31, has also been linked with the Wien side. Heinz Linder confirmed that he would be departing the club this week, so they are on the hunt for a replacement. The Hannover 96 stopper has had two spells at Austria Wien before moving on to play for Fortuna Düsseldorf, Cottbus and now Hannover.
