The second game in Copa America 2015's Group A saw a lacklustre 0-0 draw between Mexico and Bolivia.

Neither team could really take control in a game that saw very few chances. The game was played like a pre-season friendly, with neither team going all out to secure the three points.

After a very slow start, it took the best part of 12 minutes for something to happen. Juan Carlos Medina volleyed a shot wide from the edge of the box.

Mexico were caught short in numbers at the back and Smedberg does well to weave his way into space on the left before delivering a teasing ball into the area. Pedriel beat his marker, Aldrete, to meet it, but he saw his effort hit the upright.

Mexico enjoyed good spells of possesion but couldn't break down a determined Bolivia defence.

Bolivia nearly broke the deadlock yet again, and it came out of nothing. Jhasmani Campos latched onto a pass in midfield and hit a stunning effort at goal from a outside the penalty area, but Jose Corona acrobatically knocked it behind for a corner.

Just after the hour mark, Mexico had a glorious chance to take the lead but Raúl Jiménez headed wide from close range, a chance that should really have been taken.

Montes delivered in a free kick and Bolivia failed to clear their lines. The ball defected around inside the six-yard box, and among the mess of bodies it was sent just over the bar.

Mexico had a couple of shouts for penalties though referee Caceres wasn't interested on either occasion, but replays showed he may have made an error.

Migeul Herrera may have been regretting leaving key players out of this tournament as the side lacked that touch of class and composure which would have seen them grab a goal to secure the win. The likes of Javier Hernandez could've made a difference in a game of limited chances.

Bolivia never really looked like scoring and were happy to settle for a point in their opening game.

Hosts Chile won the opening game of the tournament 2-0 against Ecuador which sees them top Group A. Mexico face Chile in the next game which, if they play like they did in this match, they may struggle against a very strong Chilean side feautering the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal.

Meanwhile, Bolivia will face Ecuador in the next set of Group A games as both team look to secure a place in the next round.
