Full-Time: CD Tenerife 4-1 CD Mirandés

What a performance from the home side tonight, they pick up a thoroughly deserved three points and move up to 10th in the LaLiga SmartBank table.

Luis Milla, who ran the midfield throughout the evening, scored a goal in either half, while Aitor Sanz and Dani Gómez were also on target as Tenerife make it back-to-back wins to give their play-off hopes a boost.

There were worrying signs just after half-time as Mirandés made it 2-1, but Tenerife grew into the second-half and managed to restore their two-goal advantage before wrapping up the points in additional time.

90+6' GOOOOOAAAALLLLLLLLL TENERIFEEEEEEE!!!!!

The star of the show has scored his second goal of the game and that's certainly the points in the bag for the home side now.

Suso breaks down the right side and pulls back to Ramón Miérez, whose shot is saved low by the goalkeeper, but Luis Milla follows up and rifles home for his second of the game and Tenerife's fourth!!!

90+5 CLOSE!!!!

Two chances in quick succession for the visitors, the latest from Alvaro Rey, who shifts the ball onto his left foot and then fires low and just wide of the post from inside the area.

90+4' Time is ticking away for the visitors to try and get something from the game. Mickaël Malsa tries his luck from range, but fires off target.

90+2' There will be a total of six minutes additional time, the fourth official has indicated.

90+1' The fourth official has indicated that there will be six minutes of additional time.

90+1 CHANCE!!!!

Almost the icing on the cake for the home side. Luis Milla, who has ran the midfield in this game, delivers a terrific ball into the penalty area and it's Nikola Šipčić that gets up well and heads inches wide of the post.

89' Tenerife also make a substitution as club legend Suso comes on for the final stages for Shaq Moore, who has been one of the stars of the game.

88' Mirandés make their fifth substitution of the game as Lorenzo Crisetig replaces Alvaro Peña.

80' Just 10 minutes of normal time to play. Mirandés had the wind knocked out of them when Tenerife scored their third goal and it is the hosts, who now look comfortable and likely to see the game through.

75' Tenerife make a double substitution with Iker Underbarrena and Ramón Miérez coming on for Dani Gómez and Alex Bermejo.

74' Mirandés make a triple substitution. Iñigo Vicente, Matheus Aiás and Ernest Ohemeng come on for Joaquín, Gorman Kijera and Marcos André.

68' CHANCE!!!

Shaq Moore has proved to be a real danger down this right side. The American crosses into the box once more and Alex Bermejo heads wide of the target.

66' GOAL CONFIRMED!! It's taken VAR a couple of minutes to check for a potential offside, but Dani Gómez's goal has been confirmed.

64' GOOOAAAALLLLLLL TENERIFE!!!!

Tenerife may have had a quiet second-half so far, but they've managed to restore their two-goal advantage. Shaq Moore with a terrific cross from the right and this time Dani Gómez heads home.

63' Tenerife awarded a free-kick on the right side of the itch and Luis Milla swings it into the box. Lluis López heads over the bar.

62' Tenerife make their first substitution of the game as Dani Lasure replaces Joselu.

61' Mirandés are awarded a free-kick in a really dangerous position on the edge of the area. Alvaro Rey steps up, short run-up, and curls over the bar.

55' CHANCE!!!

Tenerife have been on the back foot in this second-half, but with their first clear opening, they should've really scored. Shaq Moore with a terrific run down the right side and crosses into the box. Dani Gómez is unmarked in the area, but the striker fires high over the bar from eight-yards out.

53' POST!!!!!

Mirandés have looked a completely different team in this second-half, Tenerife have just failed to get going since half-time. Alvaro Rey drives to the byline and pulls the ball back across the box. Marcos André drifts off his marker and strikes off the post.

47' GOOAAALLLL MIRANDÉS!!!

It's taken just 90 seconds of the second-half for the visitors to get going and pull a goal back. Martin Merquelanz delivers a brilliant corner to the back post and Marcos André heads home. Game on at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López.

46' We're underway for the second-half. Tenerife have a two-goal lead against Mirandés.

Half-Time: CD Tenerife 2-0 CD Mirandés

It's been a comfortable and controlling performance from the home side so far, who have a two-goal advantage at the break.

Captain Aitor Sanz fired home in the seventh minute before Luis Milla converted a penalty shortly after. Mirandés grew into the game after the half-hour mark, but Tenerife have a deserved lead at half-time.

45+3' Mirandés make their first substitution of the game due to an injury. Centre-back Odei Onaindia is replaced by Alvaro Rey.

45+3 YELLOW CARD

Joselu has been shown the first yellow card of the game for a late challenge.

45' The fourth official had indicated that there will be five minutes of additional time at the end of the first-half.

44' Mirandés win the ball back deep in their own half and break forward. Well-worked attack, but it's rounded off with an effort from Alex González, who strikes high over the crossbar.

38' CLOSE!

Mirandés go close under a minute after their last opening. Right-back Alex González opens up and takes a shot, which goes past the post.

36' Set-piece that has been clearly worked on, on the training ground, from Mirandés. Joaquín plays the corner to the edge of the area to Odai Onaindia, who strikes high over the crossbar with a first-time effort.

30' The ball goes out of play and the referee pauses the game and calls for a water and cooling break. Both sides are making their way to this near sideline.

28' The ball is worked out to the right side to Luis Pérez, who delivers a cross into the penalty area. Dani Gómez beats his marker, but can't direct his header towards goal.

27' Mirandés are starting to grow into this game and have another shot on target. Mickaël Malsa has an attempt, which goes through both centre-backs and the Tenerife goalkeeper makes a straight forward save.

21' Tenerife go close to adding a third goal as Luis Milla's corner is glanced over the bar by Dani Gómez at the front post.

18' First attempt at goal from the visitors doesn't really threaten Adrián Ortolá in the Tenerife goal. Space opens up for Mickaël Malsa, whose shot is tame.

14' GOOOAAALLLLLLLLL TENERIFE!!!

The hosts have come racing out the blocks, have controlled possession in this game and have doubled their advantage from the spot. Luis Milla steps up and fires home the penalty off the inside of the post.

13' PENALTY TO TENERIFE!!

Shaq Moore's cross takes a touch off Álex Bermejo in the penalty area and Alex Muñoz is on the verge of shooting, but is brought down by Joaquin. Penalty and a great chance to double the lead for Tenerife.

7' GOOAAALLLLLL TENERIFE!!!!

The home side have an early advantage and what a stunning goal it was. Shaq Moore's corner was worked on by Luis Milla back to the American, who found Aitor Sanz and the captain isn't closed down on the edge of the area and fires home into the bottom corner.

7' CHANCE!!

7' Brilliant through ball down the left by Aitor Sanz to Alex Munoz, whose low cross has to be dealt with at the back post. Corner Tenerife.

5' Fairly even start to the game, Tenerife looking to get the ever dangerous Luis Milla on the ball on the midfield. Shaq Moore starting at full-back today, but already looking to join in the attacks.

Manager's pre-match comments: CD Mirandés

Mirandés manager Andoni Iraola said: "The results for the next game cannot affect you too much. We had little time to prepare for the match, but this time we are both in the same condition.

"You have to get used to this rhythm and this way of preparing for the matches."

Manager's pre-match comments: CD Tenerife

Tenerife manager Rubén Baraja said: "It is always important to achieve victory and more if you are a recognisable team. We won away from home, where we lacked some ambition to find our opponents goal. Whenever you win it generates confidence in the message.

"If we had had more time, maybe it would have gave us the opportunity to repeat the line-up, but we have three days and another game on Saturday. We have to focus on Mirandés."

Mirandés battling for Play-Offs

Another serious contender for promotion this season is Mirandés, who've won two of their three games since the return.

Los Rojillos finished third and gained promotion from Segunda División B last season and have certainly made their intentions clear this year. Mirandés went all the way to the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey this season, beating Celta Vigo, Sevilla and Villarreal along the way.

Mario Barco was on target in their last match, but a goal in either half from Pablo Valcarce condemned Mirandés to a 2-1 defeat at home to SD Ponferradina.

Tenerife looking to make it two wins from two

It had been, somewhat, frustrating since the return of the league for Tenerife. After losing to Fuenlabrada on their return, in a game that they just didn't get much going in the final third, they were held to a goalless draw against Malaga at home.

Baraja's men picked up a hugely important three points in their last outing. A dominant and professional display was rewarded away to Racing Santander, despite a late fightback from the home side. Tenerife, with a win today, would lift them to within three points of the play-offs and their hopes for promotion would be well-and-truly alive.

Race for the Play-offs

The race for promotion is extremely close in LaLiga SmartBank and there will be, no doubt, twists and turns throughout the final eight games of the 2019-20 season.

Mirandés sit eighth in the table with 48 points from their 34 games, just one point outside of the play-offs. A win this afternoon could take them up to fifth, above both Elche and Girona.

Meanwhile, Tenerife are as many points outside of the top six as they are to the relegation zone. With 43 points from their 34 games, Rubén Baraja's side will be wanting to look above them and not over their shoulders and three points today would be important.

Kick-off time

CD Tenerife vs CD Mirandés will be played at Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López, in Santa Cruz, Tenerife. The kick-off is scheduled at 18:30 BST.
