Jules Bianchi's condition still remains unsure as the Formula One driver still remains in a coma after the horrendous crash during the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix.

Bianchi's father says he is "less optimistic" about his son's head injuries suffered at Suzuka last year and admits how hard it is to wake up every morning not knowing if his son will survive the day.

Progress Needed In First Six Months

Phillipe Bianchi said "progress needs to be made in the first six months, it has been nine months now and Jules has still not woken up."

The French driver was put into an artificial coma after last October's rain-hit race and shown early signs of recovery a month after the incident. Bianchi was brought to a hospital in Japan moments after the crash but was taken out of the coma where he was transferred to his home city of Nice for further treatment.

However, despite being moved back home, Bianchi still remains unsure if his son will wake up again. He added that he's "less optimistic than I might have been two or three months after the accident when we could have hoped for better progress."

Keep Fighting Michael

Phillipe has admitted that the pair previously spoke about former World Champion Michael Schumacher before the accident in October about the skiing accident the German suffered back in 2013.

Bianchi said that if he has to have very severe disabilities they are convinced that it "is not at all what Jules wants." He discussed that if one day he "had an accident like that of Michael Schumacher, that even if his only handicap was not being able to drive, he would have a lot of difficulty living. Because it was his life."

Before the horror incident last October, Bianchi was one of two drivers for Marussia and scored their only two points of the season during the Monaco Grand Prix last year.

Since the accident, the support for Jules Bianchi has been unbelievable with many of the remaining drivers praying that the 25-year-old pulls through from an accident that really hit the hearts of many F1 supporters.
