He goes for another, but Reigns catches him and suplexes him to on the floor. Reigns goes for a Spear but goes head first into the steps. They almost get counted out. Bryan gets back in the ring. Reigns goes for the Superman punch, but runs right into a stiff kick to the gut from Bryan. Bryan starts to work over Reigns gut. Bryan set Reigns up on the top rope. Bryan and Reigns are feeling each other out. Bryan is trying to get into Reign’s head. There are dueling Daniel Bryan/Roman Reigns chants. Reigns tackles Bryan. Bryan takes Reigns down by his ankle. Bryan tries to lock in a surfboard, but Reigns powers out… whoa that was impressive. Bryan runs right into a tilt-a-whirl slam by Reigns. Bryan ends up on the outside of the ring. Reigns tosses him into the barricade and ring apron.

For the first time in a long time, this writer has no idea how this is going to go. What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments!

Singles Match: Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan (Winner faces Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania)

Why are they calling that a submission? That makes no sense. It started off slow, but man did that match deliver!

Rusev retains.

Cena powers out. Lana gets in the ring and Rusev kicks Cena in the balls. Rusev kicks Cena in the head and knocks him out. Rusev locks on the Accolade and Cena passes out.

Rusev sets up for the Accolade, but Cena grabs Rusev’s foot and locks on the STF. Rusev eventually gets to the ropes. That was a close one. Rusev goes for another kick, Cena ducks it and hits the AA! Rusev still kicks out! Cena goes up top but lands right into a powerbomb Rusev slaps on the Accolade! Will Cena tap? (yeah freaking right)

Cena goes five moves of doom, but gets cut off by another head kick by Rusev. Cena tries to pick Rusev’s ankle but Rusev gets away from the STF attempt. Cena goes to the second rope and hits adiving DDT. Rusev tries his sidewalk slam, but Cena counters into the Crossface. Rusev powers out and hits an Alabama Slam for a two count.

Cena starts the match off by almost KO’ing Rusev with a right hand. Rusev is pissed. He traps Cena into the corner and kicks him over and over again. Spin kick to Cena’s face. Two count for Rusev. So far, Rusev is dominating Cena. Cena hits a drop kick, which Rusev then response with a dropkick of his own. Cena goes for the AA, but Rusev counters it into a DDT. Rusev bull rushes Cena in the corner.

They really should play up the importance of the US Title. That is getting lost here.

United States Championship Match: Rusev (c) vs. John Cena

They are rolling a casket down to the ring. Inside, it's Bray Wyatt. Wyatt is calling out Undertaker. No more games.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have Druids… and We have a Gong. Is it Undertaker

BNB retains via DQ

Ambrose jumps on BNB, but BNB tosses Ambrose to the outside. BNB bangs Ambrose head first into the steel steps. Ambrose fights out of a sleeper hold, but ends up running right into a big boot by BNB. Ambrose rolls to the outside and BNB walks right into a clothesline. Back in the ring, Ambrose flattens BNB with a tornado DDT. Winds of Change attempt by BNB gets turned into a small package. BNB kicks out. Ambrose hits the ropes for his rebound Lariat, but BNB hits Wasteland. BNB sets up the Bull Hammer, but eats a Lariat instead. BNB fights out of Dirty Deeds. BNB tries to leave with his belt but Ambrose dives over the top to stop him. Ambrose ends up getting DQ… you are probably wondering why. As soon as that becomes clear, we will let you know.

Intercontinental Championship Match: Bad News Barrett (c) vs. Dean Ambrose

Nikki Bella retains.

As soon as the bell rings, Paige is all over Nikki. She is upset. Nikki has this coming. Nikki send Paige into the barricade and manages to get a two count.  Alabama Slam by Nikki for another two count. Paige kicks Nikki in the mouth for a two count. Lots of near falls here. Paige goes for a sunset flip off the top but Nikki reverses it into a powerbomb! Yet another two count. Paige almost locks on the PTO, but Nikki gets to the ropes. Nikki rolls up Paige and grabs the tights for the win… That was lame.

Divas Championship Match: Nikki Bella (c) vs. Paige

HHH tries to deck Sting, but Sting decks him. HHH hits Sting  in the head with the mic. HHH grabs his sledge hammer, but as soon as he gets in the ring Sting puts his bat up to HHH's throat. Sting backs him into the corner and points to the WrestleMania banner. HHH agrees. Sting tries to leave the ring but HHH charges him. Sting levels HHH with his bat and drops him with the Scorpion Death Drop!

HHH is essentially begging off. He wants Sting to back off and HHH will give him the world. HHH even through out the Hall of Fame nugget for Sting. HHH says if Sting doesnt' take the deal he will beat his legecy out of him!

HHH just went into a rant about being the King of Kings but he has kinda gotten his butt kick pretty consistantly the past two years or so. Seriously, what has he done lately?

HHH is wearing his casual Friday outfit. It's time for him to call out Sting!

Great match. Awesome finish.

Cesaro and Tyson Kidd defeated The Usos to become the new tag team champions!

Jey tags in and hits the running hip crush on Cesaro. Shades of Umaga,  Cole, NOT Rikishi. Jey goes up  and ends up getting Dead-lift suplexed  by Cesaro, followed by a diving elbow by Kidd for two count. The Uso hit a tossing Samoan drop. Jey dives on Cesaro on the outside. Kidd gets caught mid air by Jimmy who Samoan drops him into the barricade. Jimmy goes up top and dives off with the Super Fly Splash. Kidd gets the knees up and locks in the Sharpshooter. Jey kicks Kidd in the back of the head before Jimmy taps. Kidd hits the Three Handled Moss Covered Family Credenza for the win! We have new tag team champs!

Kidd and Jey start the match off. The Usos are firmly in charge. Tagging in and out while pummeling Kidd. Jimmy goes up top and hits a twisting press on Kidd. Cesaro tags in and works over Jimmy’s knee. Working over the Usos legs is probably the smart thing to do. So much of their offense is based on the use of their lower extremities. Cesaro hits a one-legged big swing into a single leg crab. Kidd dives off the top and crushes Jimmy with a leg drop to Jimmy’s head.

Cesaro is rocking the beats headphones like Kidd

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: The Usos (c) vs. Cesaro & Tyson Kidd

After the match, Stardust beat the crap out of Goldust in front of Dusty.

Not sure if that was a legit pin... Maybe that was one to help continue the feud. We all love Dusty, but the shots of him in the back looking worried did not come off very well.

Goldust defeated Stardust via pin fall.

The crowd has started yelling Cody at Stardust. Stardust set up Cross Rhodes, but Goldust reversed it into a crucifix pin for the win… wait did that just happen? WOW!

Stardust is rocking new gear. He is looking more and more like Starman from NES Pro wrestling. So far Goldust is schooling Stardust. Goldust his hesitating, but he almost hits Stardust with the Final cut. Stardust wiggles out and heads to the outside of the ring to regroup. Stardust gets back in the ring and Goldust continues to beat the crap out of him. Goldust sets up for Shattered Dreams but Stardust moves out of the way. Stardust pulls Goldust to the outside and pounds Goldust into the guardrail.

Single Match: Goldust vs. Stardust

After the match the heels are working over the faces. Randy Orton’s music hits and he runs down to the ring and takes out the heels. Hitting multiple RKO’s. Before he can get his hands on Rollins, Kane grabs him, but ends up eating an RKO as well.

Seth Rollins, Kane & Big Show defeated Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan & Ryback

Ryback finally tags in. Rollins tries to Curbstomp him, but Ryback powerbombs him. Ryback grabs Rollins for Shell shocked, but J & J distract him and Rollins hits a sick kick to Ryback’s head. Rollins goes up top and dives off. Ryback catches him mid air into a suplex position. Ryback turns that into Shell Shock, but Show crushes him before he could get the pin. Ryback tags in Ziggler who ddt’s Kane. Rollins tries to get back in the ring and gets dropped by Ziggler’s Fameasser. Ziggler dives on Kane, but Big Show hits him with the WMD out of nowhere. Rollins pins Ziggler

The heels spend a good amount of time working over Rowen’s injured leg. Rollins tags in and hits the Sliced Bread #2. Say, with Rowen having a goat on the back of his jumpsuit… maybe that is an omen of what Daniel Bryan will be doing after he looses tonight… we smell a tag team!

Kane tags in and Rowen tosses him around the ring like a rag doll. Big Show tags in and tosses Rowen to the outside of the ring. Big Show and Rowen end up on the outside. Rowen spin kicks the ring post. Wait… Rowen has a picture of a goat on the back of his jumpsuit. LOL

Ziggler and Rollins are starting off the match. As it should be. This really should have been a singles match between the two of them. Ziggler goes for a leap frog but almost gets caught in a running powerbomb. Ziggler turns it into a sunset flip. Rollins kicks out at two. Rollins manages to catch Ziggler in the corner and stomp him out. Drop kick by Ziggler, he then tags in Rowen who pounds on Rollins. Surprisingly working on Rollins arm and back.

Kane and Big Show are stooging it up. Clapping for Seth Rollins as he makes his way to the ring.

Six Man Tag Match: Dolph ZigglerErick Rowan & Ryback vs. Seth RollinsKane & Big Show

Main Card: It's time for Fastlane! The pyro hits and you knwo the action is about to start!

There we have it. Heyman also puts over Reigns. Did you know Reigns is the baddest dude from the toughest tribe in Samoa? Yeah, me either.

Heyman does his best to put over Daniel Bryan. No mention of Roman Reigns though. That's interesting.

Heyman let's us all know that his name is Paul Heymen and that Brock Lesnar is not here tonight. There's a shock.

It's time for Miz TVMiz makes Mizdow sit in the corner. Go ahead and get that heat, Miz!

Wait... Did Renee Young just say the Rusev vs. John Cena is the main event?

Booker dropped his first shucky-ducky-quack-quack of the night! Glad we got that out of the way.

Booker brought up a good point. Bad News Barrett is extremely injury prone. Will that come into play later tonight?

Dean Ambrose is with Renee Young and he is saying all the right things about the Intercontinental Championship. Ambrose said that Reigns got all the glory while they were in the Shield. It’s his time to shine. Shots fired?

The video of John Stewart cutting a promo about Seth Rollins was funny, but let’s hope this doesn’t really turn into a thing. The celebrity feuds are never good. Like never, ever good.

Paul Heyman will be on Miz TV tonight. Wish there was a way they could give Heyman a mic without getting Miz involved. Oh wait, there is! Just give the man a mic and have him talk! Brilliant!

This wont shock anyone but tonight is supposed to be about Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns, but they start the night off talking about the John Cena vs. Rusev match. That makes no sense.

Kickoff show: Looks like our panel for the Kickoff tonight consist of Renee Young, Booker T, Byron Saxon and fan favorite Corey Graves. Side note: It’s a shame Graves isn’t going to be able to continue is in-ring career. He had a ton of potential.

What do you guys think the opening bout will be? Even money says the tag title match starts off the show.

Normally on the Network they would be showing the previous year’s ppv, but since this is the first Fastlane it doesn’t look like they are going show a ppv at all. Why wouldn’t they show the Rumble since the controversy from that event is what forced them into this current situation.

We are just a few short hours from the event! What do you think about our predictions?

Who wins: Roman Reigns wins. Is that the best outcome? Probably not, but WWE will stick to their guns on this one. This will not be a repeat of what happened last year at WrestleMania. The smart play here would be for someone to cost Bryan the match. Whoever they cast in the role (please let it be anyone but Sheamus) is going to have nuclear heat. They better choose wisely.

This match is going to make or break Reigns main event push. He has to perform tonight. It doesn’t matter if he wins or loses. What matters is if he looks good doing it. Bryan is holding Reigns fate in his hands tonight. All that said…

Everyone knew Reigns was going to win the Royal Rumble (which was the problem) but who knew that for the second year in a row WWE would bow to pressure from the fans to potentially include Daniel Bryan in the main event of WrestleMania. Now this writer is a huge Daniel Bryan fan, but this is becoming a bit much. The first issue is why is it so hard for WWE to just come to grips with the fact that the people want Daniel Bryan as the face of the company? They may not like it but their unwillingness to recognize this has put Reigns in a terrible position. Reigns had a ton of momentum coming into the Rumble. WWE tried to eliminate Bryan early so he didn’t cross paths with Reigns, but Bryan being in the Rumble for 10 minutes was worst than him just flat out not being in it. If they were smart, Bryan would have been in the main event of the Rumble fighting for the world title. That way, he would have gotten his return bout for the title he never lost and him not winning the Rumble wouldn’t have been an issue.

Singles Match Preview: Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan (Winner faces Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania)

Who wins: Rusev has to win this match. Having him job to John Cena would pretty much kill any momentum Rusev has built up over the past year. Make no mistake, they will have a rematch at WrestleMania and John Cena will win that, but the first match in the series has to be won by Rusev. Cena isn’t going to tap out, so look for him to take heavy damage to his head during the match and fall to Rusev’s leaping head kick.

If you have been following along for the past few months, this writer has been screaming from the mountain tops that Rusev was John Cena bait. It was inevitable. Same thing happened to Umaga and almost every other monster heel that has set foot into the WWE. The one-surprising thing here is that they haven’t made it about the US vs. Russia. This has been more about two guys who just don’t like each other, which is a welcome change. An interesting wrinkle here is the fact that the US title is on the line here. There are some who balk at the idea of Cena being US Champ again, but If Ric Flair could go from world champ to US Champ multiple times, why not Cena? Let’s make the mid card titles really mean something.

United States Championship Match Preview: Rusev (c) vs. John Cena

Is the WWE Using Dean Ambrose Correctly? Find out our thoughts here:

Who wins: Dean Ambrose is going to capture his first IC title tonight. At one point Barrett looked like he was going to get a rocket strapped to his back, but now it seems that moment has passed. Ambrose gets the win after Dirty Deeds.

Barrett has to be the worst IC Champion ever. Or maybe the best ever? Barrett loses every match he is in until the title is on the line. It’s actually quite remarkable. Barrett jobs to Sin Cara and R-Truth in the same week, but still manages to remain the IC Champion. Contrary to most of the matches on this card, Ambrose wants to fight Barrett solely because Barrett is the champ and Ambrose wants the title. There is no stupid Barrett trying to bed Ambrose’s girlfriend or anything stupid like that. This is about the belt, as it should be.

Intercontinental Championship Match Preview: Bad News Barrett (c) vs. Dean Ambrose

Who wins: Nikki Bella will retain. There is no good reason behind this prediction other than the fact that WWE seems to be obsessed with pushing the Bellas. Paige looses due to shenanigans.

Both Bella Twins have come leaps and bounds from where they were when they first start. Even still, neither of them could hold Paige’s jock strap. This is another case of WWE trying to shoehorn in a story behind the title feud but in all honesty (sounding like a broken record here) it isn’t needed. Paige wants her belt back, that’s all we need to know. If anything, Paige maybe able to squeeze a half way decent match out of Nikki... Maybe.

Divas Championship Match Preview: Nikki Bella (c) vs. Paige

Did you miss Smackdown? Check out our recap of the show here.

HHH is going to confront Sting… How does this not end with HHH getting Scorpion Death Dropped? There are some people who are upset we are going to get HHH vs. Sting at WrestleMania. Honestly, this is match has the potential to be 100 times better than the long rumored Undertaker vs. Sting match. Undertaker has shown he can still put on great matches even at his advanced age. The same cannot be said for Sting. This writer has watch him the past few years he was in TNA and let’s just say it wasn’t pretty. HHH can carry Sting through a match if need be. The other side of this is maybe Sting just wasn’t motivated while he was in TNA. It’s most likely the former, but let’s hope it the latter.

In Ring Segment Preview: HHH confronts Sting

Who wins: The Usos will retain the belts in what will be a stellar contest. The Masters will win the tag titles soon, but it will not be tonight. Bank on The Masters loss being blamed on Natty somehow.

There is no way this won’t be an amazing match. Everyone involved can go. At this point, The Usos have held the titles between two reigns for the better part of a year. WWE has tried to throw together a storyline for why these guys are fighting, but in all honesty it is totally unnecessary. The Masters of the WWE Universe (that is still their team name, right?) want to be tag champs. That’s all you need.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match Preview: The Usos (c) vs. Cesaro & Tyson Kidd

Who wins: The heels will take this one. Rollins gets the win after a Curb Stomp to Rowen. Rollins is still the top heel in the company so they will use this as a means to keep Rollins strong.

So it seems the Ziggler, Rowen, and Ryback group is really a thing now? Does that make any sense at all? We get it; The Authority fired all of them at one point. Does that mean we really have to be forced to watch Ziggler be wasted in these tag team scenarios? Yes, specifically Ziggler. He is being wasted. Granted there is only so much room at the top of the card, but tagging him with Ryback and Rowen constantly is silly.

Six Man Tag Match Preview: Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan & Ryback vs. Seth Rollins, Kane & Big Show

Miss Monday Night Raw? Check out our recap here:

Who wins: For this feud to continue, there would have to be some sort of screwy finish. Our guess would be Goldust wins via DQ. Stardust goes nuts and destroys Goldust with a “foreign object”.

This feud is long overdue. It had been reported that the main reason Goldust and Stardust were put together was as a means to get Stardust/Cody over as a heel. That was about two years ago. Their gimmick has run its course and it is time for them to go their separate ways. Goldust has been campaigning for years to have a match against his brother at WrestleMania. They could tear the house down, but as of now it looks like we will have to settle for a match at Fastlane. One would hope the start and end of this feud would not be at Fastlane, but all signs point to it being just that.

Let’s hope there is a screwy finish of some sort and the Dust Brothers get to finish this at WrestleMania, as it should be. The thing that makes it hard to believe they would get their WrestleMania match is the impending implosion of The Miz and Mizdow seems to be destine to happen at WrestleMania. It would be hard to believe that they would have multiple tag team break up feud matches on the same WrestleMania card.

Singles Match Preview: Goldust vs. Stardust

Let’s take a look at the card for tonight’s event. The last pay per view (The Royal Rumble) featured an extremely short card. Fastlane has more matches, but the quality of the card leaves a bit to be desired.

In the past, the world titles (or title depending on what period we were in) would be defended in the Elimination Chamber. It added intrigue to the Road to WrestleMania because we had no way of knowing who the champ would be after the event. The title changed hands at the event multiple times. Most notably would be when Chris Jericho defeated The Undertaker in the Chamber. Jericho’s victory set up the culmination of the long standing Chris Jericho and Edge feud (Edge won the Royal Rumble and choose to face Jericho at WrestleMania) and put into motion the second Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels match (Michaels cost Undertaker the match).

Preview: This is the inaugural Fastlane pay per view. Fastlane has taken the place of the super popular Elimination Chamber event that used to be held between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. The premise is supposed to be WWE superstars are on the “fast lane” to WrestleMania. We know what you are thinking. This has to be one of the dumbest pay per view titles since WCW Sin. The logic behind getting rid of Elimination Chamber was due to it not being practical hanging a structure that weighs several tons over the ring at smaller venues. That logic makes totally sense, but man did they drop the ball on picking a replacement. Why not pull from the pantheon of retired pay per views? They could have pulled from WCW and ECW as well. Hopefully, the title Fastlane won't be around for much longer.

Hello everyone and welcome to Vavel USA’s live coverage of the 2015 WWE Fastlane ppv! We have a stacked card lined up tonight. Many burning questions will be answered. Who will go on to face “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania? Roman Reigns or Daniel Bryan? Can John Cena become the United States Champion once again or will Rusev continue his undefeated streak?
