Dolph Ziggler was interviewed this week by Brian Fritz of Sporting News and he gave his opinions on the recently announced WWE brand split and talked about how the split will differ from the previous.

Dolph's thoughts on the brand split

The showoff said that the brand extension is 'great for everyone' and that it will initiate more of a 'competition between the brands'.

It will come as no surprise to most fans that Dolph Ziggler is pleased with the brand split as many believe he is one of the most underused and wasted talents on the current roster.

Dolph has spent recent times being used as a jobber or in silly feuds (Rusev/Lana/Summer Rae) and hasn't really got any sort of big push.

He is currently feuding with recent NXT call-up Baron Corbin and it remains to be seen whether or not he is being used to make the Lone Wolf look good when they have their final match which will most likely take place at Money in the Bank.

The two-time World Heavyweight Champion said that the brand split may give superstars an opportunity to 'become much bigger' and 'much more of an important part of their brand than they ever were before'.

How will the brand split differ from before?

In his interview, Dolph Ziggler compared the upcoming brand split with the previous one and stated that it is different because there is an 'entire roster of NXT superstars who are are drooling to get their hands on WWE superstars'.

Ziggler followed by saying that it will be 'great for the fans no matter whose side you're on' because there is so much exciting talent that will have to be split from three rosters into just two which definitely will lead to both shows being full of top stars.
