It seems like it is only a matter of time until the experienced guard Joe Young is back in the NBA after a six year wait.

Sources tell VAVEL USA multiple organizations in the NBA are interested in signing Young on a 10-day hardship deal.

Young, who has played for the Birmingham Squadron in the G-League this season, has put up some impressive numbers. The 29 year-old G is averaging 17 points per game along with 4.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and one steal.

Birmingham is in the midst of a seven-game winning streak, in large part thanks to Young.

His ability to play on and off the ball, as well as understanding his role and playing solid defense has been a huge reason why he is on the verge of returning to the NBA.

Young was selected by the Pacers in the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft with the 43rd overall pick out of the University of Oregon. He has also played a total of 127 NBA games throughout his career.

The Houston native most recently competed in the association in 2018 with Indiana.

Three different Birmingham Squadron players have been called-up by NBA teams, therefore it seems like only a matter of time until Young becomes the fourth.
