Brooklyn Nets

The trailing Brooklyn Nets put in a strong effort, but fell to the Denver Nuggets 124-118 in their final home game. Denver jumped out to an early 17-8 lead before the Nets shed their early problems to trail by one late in the first quarter. Brooklyn was a game late but simply lacked the bodies.

Aside from Harden, who had the night off to rest a left hamstring after playing 38 minutes in Tuesday's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Nets are without Kevin Durant (sprained left knee ligament) and Kyrie Irving (vaccination status). Rookie Cam Thomas scored 25 points and Patty Mills added 21 for Brooklyn, which has lost three straight. The Nets are now 6-10 in January after going 8-3 in December.

Golden State Warriors

Stephen Curry scored 29 points and Klay Thompson added 23 points as the Warriors defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 124-115 on Thursday night. Wiggins added 19 points, five rebounds, four assists and a pair of blocked shots against his former team again in Golden State's 11th straight home win against the Wolves.

Curry shot 6-for-10 from long range, 10-for-20 overall, after going 3-for-23 from 3-point range in his previous two games. He also had eight rebounds and six assists. Andre Iguodala missed his third straight game with a left hip injury and will also be sidelined Saturday against the Nets, with Kerr awaiting his return during the upcoming road trip.

Chase Center is a sports arena in the Mission Bay area of the city of San Francisco and hosts basketball games as the new home venue for the NBA's Golden State Warriors franchise. The Warriors, who have been based in the Bay Area since 1962, initially played in San Francisco and moved to their previous location, where they played at Oracle Arena in Oakland from 1971 until 2019, when the team returned to the other shore of the Bay.

Its name Chase Center was officially announced on January 28, 2016, as part of an agreement between the team and the financial company JPMorgan Chase. The enclosure is made up of several levels and floors. It was opened on September 6, 2019 and seats 18,064 people at Warriors games.
