The San Francisco 49ers trailing throughout the first half somehow found a way to pull out a huge win against the 3-0 Philadelphia Eagles 21-26. The Niners played the game with an almost perfect defense only allowing 22 total rushing yards and 191 passing yards. In total the Eagles offense did not show up to the game but what hurt the Bird's the most was not scoring an offensive touchdown in the entire game. Certain things really killed the Eagles especially when Head Coach Chip Kelly accepted an offensive pass interference penalty on third down, if declined it would have been 4th down but Kelly accepted and it was 3rd and 13, unfortunately Kaepernick ran for 16 the next play. The Eagles pass rush played amazing with 4 sacks not to mention a blocked punt in the end zone for a touchdown. Overall America's Game of the Week did not disappoint.

Nick Foles might have had his worst performance as an Eagle, throwing 2 interceptions and a total QBR of 42.3. It looked like every time Nick Foles dropped back into the pocket he didn't have any options and was under pressure all the time. McCoy along with Nick Foles couldn't get anything going, Shady's longest rush was 5 yards. Darren Sproles couldn't find any holes in the running game, but did have an 80 yard punt return touchdown. Jeremy Maclin on the other hand played a good game making a drive saving one handed catch. Altogether the Eagles had an off day on offense.

Both defenses played well but it was the 49ers who seemed to make all the right moves whether it was 3rd down or 4th down. Antoine Bethea had an explosive game with 7 tackles and 1 interception and the 49ers team defense really carried the load for an average offense. Looking forward the Eagles are 3-1 and will face the St. Louis Rams. The San Francisco 49ers now 2-2 will compete against the Kansas City Chiefs. Both teams have bright futures and should see the playoffs at the end of the regular season.
