In this edition of Detroit Lions News & Notes we look at various news related to the Detroit Lions over recent weeks. With the draft over and out of the way, the Lions are getting a better idea of their depth. The new extra point rule and more.

-Linebacker Stephen Tulloch says that his recovery from his season ending ACL injury is going well and plans on being at OTA's. “To be honest with you, I feel great,” Tulloch said. “If I had to play today I could definitely play — a little over six and a half months, seven months in May. I feel good. I feel blessed to have Dr. (James) Andrews work on me and put me back together. I have a good team of people down in Miami that take care of me. They’ve gotten me back to a point I can train with the team. I can lift weights and run around. It feels good to be back out there again.”

-New Lions defensive tackle Tyrunn Walker is making the most out of the team's offseason workouts. Whether it is working with Teryl Austin or All-Pro defensive tackle Haloti Ngata, he is doing everything he can to help himself "Chase the Rabbit", a term he uses in Walker even tries to run 20-yard sprints with the linebackers and defensive backs. Walker gave a huge smile when asked if he's ever caught one of the linebackers or defensive backs in those short sprints: "I don't know names, I just know I didn't finish dead last," he said. "I caught a couple. It's all fun and games. We're just out here working hard to get better."

-Matt Prater and the P.A.T.- The NFL approved changes regarding the extra-point on Tuesday. Instead of the snap taking place at the 2 yard line, it will take place at the 15 yard line. Instead of extra points being kicked at 20 yards, they will now be kicked at 33 yards. Lions kicker Matt Prater doesn't seem so thrilled with the rule change.  "I wasn’t too thrilled (when I heard), but it’s something where what can I do about it?" Lions kicker Matt Prater told detroitlions.com Wednesday. "I’ll have to deal with it and make them all." On a positive note Prater was 11 for 11 kicking from 33 yards or less.

-The details of the one-year contract that veteran WR Lance Moore signed with the Lions have been announced. The deal pays him a $970,000 base salary if he makes the team. He got a $40,000 signing bonus and can earn a $40,000 roster bonus if he's on the Lions' 53-man roster for Week 1 of the regular season. Moore will have to earn that roster spot in what could be the best position battle in camp.

-DE Larry Webster could be the next breakout player for the Lions defense. Webster was a fourth round pick for the Lions in 2014 out of Bloomsburg, a Division II school in Maryland. He didn't dress for a game in 2014. Webster has been adding weight to his 6'7" frame throughout the summer. Lions coach Jim Caldwell has always been positive when it comes to Webster's ability: "He has made leaps and bounds in terms of strides in his ability to rush the passer," Caldwell said late last season. "He's tough. The (coaches) do some extra work with him after practice and they've been raving about what he's been able to accomplish and just watching him kind of grow and develop. So at some point in time, he's going to play and play well for us."
