U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has submitted the 40-player preliminary roster for the 2016 Copa America Centenario happening on home soil. Tournament rules require the final 23-player roster to be turned in no later than May 20 to the Local Organizing Committee, in which them and the remaining 15 nations participating in the tournament will have to do by then. All the players on the final list must come from the preliminary roster.

Experience

The 51 year-old German coach has picked 40 names that have been familiar to USMNT fans ever since he became the head coach back in 2011. It has all but four names that were included in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and many more that were apart of the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup on home turf.
