The No. 1 overall pick of the 2020 WNBA Draft, Sabrina Ionescu underwent x-rays on her left ankle after suffering an injury during her third game as a pro.

The test returned negative and showed no fracture, but  she is expected to miss approximately one month with a Grade 3 left ankle sprain, according to Shams Charania from The Athletic.

After scoring just 12 points in her WNBA debutvs Seattle, the New York Liberty guard had 33 pts, 7 rebs & 7 ast in a loss to Dallas during her second game. Ionescu is the 1st Liberty player with 30 pts, 5 rebs & 5 ast in a game over the last 5 seasons.

Ionescu also had 26 triple-doubles in her time at Oregon. There have only been 9 triple-doubles in the 23-year history of the WNBA.

LeBron James from the Los Angeles Lakers sent his best wishes to Ionescu, hoping for a speed recovery.
