Irish striker Anthony Stokes who is hoping for a place in Trap's Ireland squad at euro 2012 gave his cause more weight with his 21st goal of the season at Pittodrie.

Celtic controlled the game for large periods of the first half but a deflected shot off debutant Andre Blackman put the sides level just before the break. The young English man must have been hoping for a better start to his Scottish career after previously playing for AFC Wimbledon and  Bristol City after rising through the ranks at Arsenal, Tottenham and Portsmouth's academies.

Aberdeen came out defending their own 12 match unbeaten run and showed good organisation and energy. Celtic introduced  Dylan Mc Geouch and Cha Du Ri for Lustig and Commons but the Dons held firm to bring Celtics winning record which stretches back to October to a muffled and frustrating end.
