According to reports in Italy and Spain, Manchester City are keen to sign Radamel Falcao on a loan deal this summer.

Both Gazzetta dello Sport in Italy and AS in Spain believe the Premier League champions will challenge Real Madrid for the signature of the Colombian who returned from a six-month spell on the sidelines with a goal against Arsenal on Tuesday.

The Spanish newspaper believe Manchester City have the ability to offer the 28-year-old a more luxurious pay packet than the European Champions, but suggest the forward prefers a move to Madrid. An AS source stated there 'is a 70% of signing for Madrid and a 30% chance of signing for City'.

Manchester City are unable to offer Falcao a permament deal at present due to Financial Fair Play restrictions but believe a loan deal could tempt him away from the Bernabeu. However, the AS Monaco forward is desperate to pursue his 'childhood dream' and has held talks with Florentino Perez.
