Dagenham and Redbridge defender Matt Partridge has signed a new one year deal to remain at Victoria Road.

The 21-year-old, who is a versatile defender able to play anywhere across the back line, signed for the Daggers from Reading last year.

Partridge made 28 appearances last campaign, scoring once. His first season at the club ended with a 14th-placed finish for Dagenham.

The young centre-half scored his first senior goal last term in a 4-0 demolition of Accrington Stanley, and his impressive performances have convinced manager Wayne Burnett to keep hold of the former Reading apprentice.

Partridge becomes the seventh Dagenham player to sign a new deal after Andre Boucaud, Jamie Cureton, Ashley Hemmings, Frankie Raymond, Joe Widdowson and Ade Yusuff agreed to stay in East London.

Burnett will be hoping that Partridge and co. repay his faith, and aid Dagenham in what he hopes will be a successful upcoming season.
