After Liverpool FC left Thailand victorious, the squad travelled to Australia where they will face Brisbane Roar on Friday morning.

The Reds will be hoping to continue their fine start to pre-season with another win. Their opening game finished 4-0, with Lazar Markovic, Mamadou Sakho, Adam Lallana and Divock Origi all getting on the score sheet in Bangkok.

Team News

Liverpool will have all the players they had available for the Thai All Stars match again for the Brisbane Roar match as no injuries were sustained to their 30-man squad on Tuesday afternoon.

Creative midfielder Joao Carlos Teixeira will be looking to impress again, after putting in a promising 45 minutes, in which he managed to bag two assists, just two months after breaking his leg whilst on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Joe Gomez and Divock Origi - who made their non-competitive debuts on Tuesday will also be looking to impress again, after showing fans a glimpse of the talent they will be bringing to the club.

Liverpool will remain without the services of Brazilian duo Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino, after the two were given an extended break due to their roles in the Copa America for Brazil.

Fan favourite Emre Can is also on an extended break after featuring for Germany U21's during the U21's Euro's that took place a few weeks before the tour started, which Tiago Ilori's Portugal finished as runners-up of.

If Rodgers adopts Tuesday's strategy then no player will feature for more than 45 minutes and we will see at least 22 Liverpool players feature.

Brisbane Roar

Liverpool won't be the first Merseyside club to have played the Australian side. Back in 2010, Brisbane Roar hosted a game against Merseyside rivals Everton, as part of their pre-season schedule.

Everton were given a tough match and managed to edge the game to win 2-1 thanks to a late goal.

Celtic travelled to Australia a year earlier where they managed a much more comfortable 3-0 over Brisbane Roar as three goals in 11 minutes were enough to see off the A-League side.

Most recently, Spanish side Villarreal visited Australia. In a game that Villarreal were expected to win, they were shocked as they lost 3-0 to an inspired side.

This match took place just a month ago, so Liverpool will be facing an opponent who are full of confidence and in better fitness than the All Stars earlier this week.

Pre-season Squad

The players that will be available for all the pre-season tour matches are as follows:

Goalkeeper - Mignolet, Bogdan, Fulton.

Defenders - Clyne, Gomez, Lovren, Moreno, Toure, Wisdom, Cleary, Skrtel, Sakho, Maguire.

Midfielders - Allen, Henderson, Lucas, Milner, Chirivella, Rossiter, Teixeira.
