Middlesbrough suffered their first loss in the Premier League this year at the hands of Crystal Palace.

An early second half goal from Wilfred Zaha secured the three points for Alan Pardew's men, and the Boro boss is now in charge of picking his team up from the defeat.

Aitor Karanka, today, said that: "If (Middlesbrough) do not play in our intensity it will be really difficult to win games."

He did add, however, that his side "shouldn't panic with a defeat".

"We know they are a really good team"

Looking forward to Saturday's game, Karanka acknowledged how tough a challenge Everton will bring.

The Spaniard watched the Toffees play at Sunderland on Monday, 'we have to be 150% if we want to compete.'

On Ronald Koeman, Karanka said 'he used to be an amazing player and he is a good example for me.'

The Boro boss also wants his defence to try and nullify the threat of Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian scored a hat-trick against the Black Cats and Karanka wants his back four to "disturb him".

Adding, "He is very strong so don't make it comfortable for him."

How is Boro's squad looking?

On his own side, Aitor Karanka said that Cristhian Stuani picked up a groin injury on Saturday, as well as Jordan Rhodes suffered a knock in training so both are doubts for the game at Goodison Park.

Stuani's absence could set up Adama Traore for his first Middlesbrough start, after playing the final 10 minutes against Crystal Palace.

Marten de Roon could also start after featuring on Saturday, but he will have to displace either Adam Forshaw or Adam Clayton from Boro's starting 11.
