RCD Espanyol have announced the signing of former Manchester City youngster, Nabil Touaizi.

The 19-year-old arrives back in his native nation by signing a four-year-deal with the Catalonian side, and will begin his Pericos career in the club's 'B' team setup.

A Successful City Spell 

Touaizi joined City from Valencia in 2017 as a fifteen-year-old and enjoyed an extremely successful period in the Blues' youth setup representing the club's Under 18, Under 19 and Elite Development Squad.

During his time at the City Football Academy the front man appeared 81 times across three different age groups, scoring an impressive 30 goals.

The 19-year-old also enjoyed some first team experience with Pep Guardiola's side as he featured and scored in the Blues pre-season tour of China last summer.

Espanyol's Next Star?

Touaizi will initially begin his Espanyol career as a member of the club's 'B' team who currently play in the Segunda Division B - Grupo III, the third tier of Spanish football. 

After signing a four-year-deal at the RCDE Stadium, the hope will be the prolific youngster will break into the club's first team outfit, and after the Pericos were relegated to the second tier of Spanish football last campaign, Touaizi's move up could come sooner rather than later.
