After a goalless first half, it was an own goal that broke the deadlock for Ipswich on 66 minutes, as Bracknell skipper Daniel Bayliss turned home a low cross into his own net.

Freddie Ladapo was next on the scoresheet for the Tractor Boys, and following a bunch of earlier chances he couldn't capitalise on, the forward finally made his opponents pay, finishing a good team move from six yards out.

The final goal came from substitute Pantuche Camara, who coolly slotted into an open net nine minutes from time, to send Ipswich through to the Second Round.

Bracknell bosses Carl Withers and Jamie McClurg fielded a side which included three changes from their league win over Winchester, with Ethan Burden, Gary Abisogun and Jordan Esprit all coming into the eleven.

Ipswich, on the other hand, made a vast eight changes from the incredible 4-4 draw with Charlton - Janoi Donacien, Sam Morsy and Dominic Ball were the ones to keep their place.

As expected, it was the League One side who were on the front foot, with pacey winger Kyle Edwards cutting inside from the left and trying his luck, though his effort was high and wide in the end.

The game was still hanging in the balance after 30 minutes, and both teams were in with a chance, though it was the visitors that threatened again, as a layoff was hit first time by Freddie Ladapo on the edge of the box, forcing Bracknell stopper Michael Eacott to push wide.

Just minutes later, Eacott was tested again, Ipswich playing the ball into the danger area for Kane Vincent-Young to latch onto and hit an instinct shot, which was well-matched with an instinct save from the 'keeper, keeping it out with his legs.

Momentum built on throughout the half almost saw the Tractor Boys take the lead five minutes from the break, as Edwards cut it back to Ladapo on the penalty spot, but yet again, they failed to capitalise, as the striker watched his shot roll inches wide of goal.

The sides went in at the break on level terms, though it had to be said that Ipswich had been the better of the two teams, the Robins having just a single shot towards the end of the 45 - a rising effort that went awfully wrong from Ashley Lodge.

Bracknell began to slowly grow into the game within the opening stages of the second half, and recorded their first effort on target. The ball was into Abisogun, who managed to turn his opponent and curl one towards goal, but Vaclav Hladky got down well for an easy claim.

Then it was back down the other end for another Lapado chance, and after latching onto a perfect through ball, fired in a shot which was expertly blocked by Eacott.

Captain Daniel Bayliss came close for the hosts on 65 minutes, connecting with a high bouncing ball and trying an acrobatic effort from close range, narrowly grazing the goalframe on the way over.

Less than a minute later, Ipswich's Vincent-Young pulled it back from the touchline, and unfortunately for Bayliss, his hopeful attempt to clear the ball, ended up in the back of the net, giving the away side a fairly deserved lead.

The opener really got the Tractor Boys up and running, and it wasn't long before the advantage was doubled. That man again, Vincent-Young, hit a brilliant first time lofted cross from the left, and found Ladapo, who, this time, made it count, finishing past the 'keeper  with his knee, to finish off a good team move.

With nine minutes left to play, it was down to Pantuche Camara to put the game fully to bed. Wes Burns found himself in acres of space behind the Bracknell defence, and had plenty of time to play in Camara, who made no mistake in slotting into an open net to send Ipswich through to the Second Round, where they face Buxton.
