Everton Ladies have confirmed the signing of Georgia Brougham from Manchester City Women.

Brougham made four league starts for City in the 2014 FA Women's Premier League season.

Broughm explains her decision

The 19-year-old said that Everton were a great club, and she also revealed that she couldn't say no to the Blues after she spoke to manager Andy Spence about his "future plans and how he develops players".

Brougham revealed that her decision was influenced by former Manchester City and current Everton goalkeeper Alex Brooks, with the latter telling her how "close knit the squad was" and "how much [Brooks] had enjoyed her stay so far".

Brougham revealed that she wanted to help Everton back to the WSL 1 and "where they belong", along with being as successful as they can in the cup competitions.

Everton manager Andy Spence believes Brougham would "fit in the squad easily" and was a "great addition to the squad as [Brougham] can play a number of positions".

He also believed Brougham was "a talented player" who would "enhance" the squad Everton already have.

He spoke highly of the 19-year-old's versatility, saying that she was capable of playing both centre back and full back, along with being "a highly technical player".
