Juventus have already wrapped up the Serie A title, but the team can achieve yet another accomplishment on Sunday when they battle with Hellas Verona. With a victory, the Bianconeri would move north of 90 points on the season.

As it stands, Juve are currently sitting on 88 points, well ahead of second place Napoli, who have 76 points.

Standing in the Old Lady’s path to 90 points is Hellas Verona. Juve’s opponent are currently mired in last place. Even if Verona wins the last two games of the season, the best the Gialloblu could do would be to finish tied for 19th.

Players who have suited up for both sides

On the Juventus side, there are no players on the current roster who have played for Hellas Verona.

For the Gialloblu, a trio of current players have worn the Bianconeri shirt.

Most prominent among them is striker Luca Toni. The prolific goal scorer was on the Juventus’ between the years 2011 and 2012. He has experienced a career resurgence with Verona. Toni was tied with Mauro Icardi atop Serie A’s goal-scoring chart last season. Sunday will be the veteran’s last game as it has been previously reported that he will retire following the matchup with Juventus.

In addition to Toni, two other players on the Gialloblu roster have played for Juventus.

Midfielder Luca Marrone is currently on loan at the club from Juve. The 26-year-old has been on Juve’s books since 2009, but has spent a significant amount of time out on loan to various clubs.

Additionally, the versatile Romulo also has experience in a Bianconeri shirt. Able to play in midfield and in defense, the 28-year-old spent time on loan at Juventus, but his spell was shortened by injuries. He was limited to just four appearances for the Old Lady, as his loan move wasn’t made permanent.

Previous meetings

The last time the two teams met, Juventus cruised to a 3-0 victory, winning advantages in nearly every statistical aspect of the game. .

Paulo Dybala opened the scoring in the eighth minute. The forward would also play a hand in the team’s second goal as he assisted on Leonardo Bonucci’s goal in the 45th minute. Simone Zaza would finish off the scoring in the 82nd minute as Paul Pogba assisted on the goal.

Juventus will obviously be hoping for more of the same when the two teams meet on Sunday.
