Steven Matz needs to pitch well in this game dominate the Royals hitters with his full array of pitches. The Royals have struggled against left handed pitchers this season so that’s to the Met’s advantage. If he pitches well and Murphy hits well the Mets have a good chance to tie this series up.
The players to watch for the Royals are Chris Young and Alcides Esocobar. The Royals starter in this one Chris Young pitched really well in Game 1 going for 53 pitches in the Royals win. He has to pitch really well and dominate the Mets hitters in this one if the Royals want to win. Alcides Escobar has to hit better in this game than he did last night for the Royals to win, the offense goes through the Royals leadoff hitter Escobar, so if he can consistently get on base in this game the Royals will have a good chance of getting on base.

If they can put a few runs up early in the game and take the crowd at Citi Field out of it in the first few innings, they have a good chance in this game.
