As noted by multiple sources during the last few days NXT superstar Tye Dillinger suffered an injury during a live event and this abruptly ended the Perfect 10's match with Sami Zayn.

It was in the early going of the match when it looks as though Dillinger tweaked his knee, during what appeared to be an awkward landing, and he buckled to the mat immediately bringing an end to the match.

While not a lot is known about his injury yet, it can be assumed that Dillinger will need some time away from the ring but at this stage it will be unknown for just how long Dillinger will be out. A fan caught footage from the event and it looks as though it was similar to the injury picked up earlier in the year by Seth Rollins.

There are many possibilities as to what the injury is and it may not be as bad as first feared. It could range from a sprain to torn ligaments, but it is looking as though it is the knee as Dillinger was spotted going down clutching his knee.

Dillinger’s right knee appears to give out as he hits the mat following a suplex reversal. This was immediately spotted by the referee who alerted everybody to the injury by throwing up the X (a sign shown for when a superstars injury is legitimate).

The sad thing about it is that Tye Dillinger was slowing beginning to make shapes on the NXT roster and once he adopted the “Perfect 10” gimmick he was becoming one of the biggest up and coming stars in NXT.

This is his second stint that Dillinger’s second stint following a brief period in ECW before its closure in 2009. He went onto re-sign with WWE in 2013 and has not looked back since his return, but this injury will provide another road block in his career.
