When it comes to quarterbacks, no one played the game in the same way that Cam Newton did in the 2015 season for the Carolina Panthers. Sure, he may have been controversial, or at least that is what some have thought due to his celebrations and tearing down signs at Bank of America Stadium. But that shouldn't take anything away from what he has done on the field.

Panthers Record

Cam Newton led the Panthers to a 15-1 regular season record, which was the best of all the teams in the NFL. They had home field advantage in the NFC, and they were able to easily dispatch their two opponents. Right now they are 17-1 heading into tomorrow night's Super Bowl.

Newton's Legs

Why are we sitting here talking about Cam Newton's legs? Because he uses them better than most of the players in the NFL. He has ran for a total of 636 rushing yards during the season and a total of 10 rushing touchdowns. He even had a 100 yard rushing game. Even if you take the total of all of the rushers in the NFL, Cam Newton would be 31st for how many rushing yards he had during the regular season. That put him directly in front of Charcandrick West and James Starks. Just sit back and think about that for a few moments before reading the next paragraph.

Newton's Passing

To say that Newton has had his best season as a passer is leaving a lot out on the table. Because not only has he done well, but he has exceeded expectations. His completion percentage may only be 59.7%, but he has had an excellent 35-10 touchdown to interception ratio. His total yards were 3,837 yards for his passing alone. But he raised his game to a new level this year. That is evident due to his previous high for passing touchdowns being merely 24 back in 2013.

Clearly Cam Newton deserves this award and everyone at VAVEL USA congratulates him on being the AP Offensive Player of the Year.
