Championship side Blackpool and Premier League side Hull, have finally come to an agreement on the compensation fee for Tom Ince.

The Tigers will pay £2.3m for the services of the England Under 21. Ince transferred to the KC Stadium over the summer transfer window after his deal at Bloomfield Road had finished. Hull pounced for his signature, but because of his age they have to pay compensation after a tribunal was concluded.

Ince was sent on loan to Championship outfit, Nottingham Forest after falling out of favour under Steve Bruce but has recently returned after a two month loan.

Blackpool confirmed the compensation fee on their official twitter account: "The club can confirm that a compensation package has been agreed with @HullCity for Tom Ince, without the need of a tribunal." The Tigers will pay up to £2.3m for the 22-year-old, who moved to the KC Stadium on a two-year deal in the summer.

Steve Bruce added: "I think it’s a fair price. There has been a lot of hype about Tom and rightly so with what he did during his time at Blackpool. But, he’s only a young lad and he still has time to develop his game.

"He has to be given time to find his way in the Premier League because there aren’t too many 22-year-olds playing regularly in the top-flight.

"We’ve got to let Tom develop here. He’s done particularly well for us so far, we’re pleased with his progress but we still think there is more to come from him."
