Chile will be aiming to make it two wins from two, when they face Miguel Herrera's Mexico.

The hosts secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Ecuador in their first Group A match, thanks to goals from Arturo Vidal and Eduardo Vargas.

Mexico also go into the game unbeaten, after their 0-0 stalemate with Bolivia. Herrera would've been disappointed with that result as they had the chances to secure the three points but weren't clinical enough in front of goal.

Victory for La Roja would all but secure a place in the knockout round as other teams dropped points in the first round of fixtures. A win for the Mexicans and that would see them in a good position to qualify, although they will still have a tricky fixture against Ecuador to play.

Herrera expecting crowd to have influence

Herrera knows his team are in for a tough match, saying: "We talked about this before coming to the tournament. We're going to have everything against us like in the World Cup," Herrera told reporters.

"They have their people, their fans and they started the tournament well. We talked about how the officiating could be difficult and we could suffer again."

Fernandez to miss out

In team news, Chile will be without Matias Fernandez for the fixture after the midfielder was sent off late on in the win over Ecuador.

With Gonzalo Jara also on a booking, manager Jorge Sampaoli may choose to rest the defender, ensuring that he will be available for the potentially-crucial final group stage match.

Sampaoli will be looking to key man Alexis Sanchez to provide the key moments as they look to ensure they progress to the knock-out stages of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Mexico may look to make changes up front, having failed to find the back of the net in their opening fixture of the competition.

Like Chile, Mexico may also be wary of picking up bookings, with Gerardo Flores just one more yellow away from suspension from the clash with Ecuador.

The sides met in a friendly in September, playing out a 0-0 draw.

Possible line-ups:

Chile: Bravo, Mena, Medel, Rojas, Isla, Pizarro, Aranguiz, Diaz, Sanchez, Vidal, Vargas.

Mexico: Corona, Dominguez, Ayala, Marquez, Flores, Aldrete, Corona, Montes, Jimenez, Montes, Fabian.
