Following their 1-1 draw with Stoke City at the weekend, Chelsea must overturn a 2-1 deficit in order to progress into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

In the first leg at the Parc des Princes, Chelsea suffered a 2-1 defeat by PSG with the goals coming from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani. Chelsea however managed to grab an away goal through a rare goal from John Obi Mikel.

With a top four finish looking all but impossible for the Blues, manager Guus Hiddink is focusing on the Champions League and the FA Cup in the hope of bringing some happiness to a poor season for the reigning Premier League champions.

Chelsea need to turn up

Many of Chelsea's key players have been unable to influence the team when they need it the most this season, namely Eden Hazard and Oscar, who fail to live up to the heights the fans know they can reach on too many occasions.

A big performance will be needed by Chelsea and Gary Cahill stated that 'it is a big week' and 'a big challenge to achieve something'. The defender reported that the players 'feel a lot of responsibility to achieve tomorrow'.

Manager Guus Hiddink stated that it's 'always good to have an away goal' and said it is a 'big game with two big European teams'.

Team news

Chelsea will be without their captain John Terry in Wednesday's game as the defender is still out with an injury.

However there is good news for Blues fans as Diego Costa, who missed Saturday's draw with Stoke, is set to return, as is Pedro who has missed the last couple of weeks.

PSG may well be without key midfielder Marco Verratti after Laurent Blanc admitted he was doubtful for the second leg.

The only other absentee for the Ligue 1 leaders is right back Serge Aurier due to him being suspended for critiscising his manager and teammates.
