Angharad James has joined Notts County Ladies on an undisclosed contract.
James leaves Bristol City after four years with the Vixens, following their relegation to WSL 2 at the back end of last year.
The 21-year-old Wales international has thus chosen to move back up the top flight by signing for Notts, as she looks to surround herself with the best players and teams in England in a bid to aid her promising development.
James thrilled with move
Speaking to the club's official website, James discussed her reasoning behind the move, saying that she is pleased that it materialised as it can help her grow as an individual.
"I'm delighted to have signed for Notts County," she said, explaining that she "believe[s]" the move presents "the right step" for her "with regards to pushing [her] development."
Furthermore, after four years with Bristol, James is looking for to the "new challenge" that signing with the Lady Pies presents, saying that she is "excited" to get going and "compete for some silverware."
Manager delighted with new signing
Not only is James excited about her move to the Midlands, but so is Rick Passmoor, with the Notts manager looking forward to the quality she can add to the team.
The 21-year-old, who has 34 caps for her country already, is a player who everyone in the FAWSL knows has a great "skill set," the manager said, adding that she is also someone who can make a "difference" in games.
Passmoor also believes that James can learn from other players in the team, as well as bolstering the side herself.
"We have a wealth of experience in our squad," he said, which he believes his new signing "can learn from," helping her to become "an even better player and fulfil the potential she has."
