Luton Town are looking to win their third game in five as they face Coventry City at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night.

Their opponents are really struggling this season as Coventry are only six points from relegation with Rotherham United having three games in hand over the Blues

Most recently, the Hatters lost 1-0 to Swansea City at home to allow the Swans to be reaching distance to the automatic places.

Conor Hourihane opened the scoring in the third minute to finish a fantastic team goal, passing the ball underneath Simon Sluga

On Saturday afternoon, Coventry beat relegation rivals Derby County 1-0 at St Andrews.

In the 11th minute, Maxime Biamou slotted past Kellen Roos to score the only goal of the game and to put the Blues just one point behind Wayne Rooney's side with a game in hand.

Team news

Luton Town

Midfielder, Eunan O'Kane, remains out with a broken leg.

Tom Lockyer will also miss the clash with an ankle injury.

Coventry City

Coventry will be without Jodi Jones once again as he carries an ACL injury.

Predicted lineups

Luton Town:

Sluga; Bree, Cranie, Bradley; Potts, Ruddock, Rea, Dewsbury-Hall; Cornick, Collins; Clark.

Coventry City:

Wilson; Ostigard, McFadzean, Hyam; Costa, Hamer, Kelly, McCallum; O'Hare; Biamou, Walker.

Ones to watch

Luton Town - James Collins

The striker is Luton's top goalscorer in the Championship but despite only scoring twice in 2021, Collins is one of the Hatters' biggest attacking threats.

The 30-year-old is a difficult man to get off the ball especially when holding it up.

Coventry City - Gustavo Hamer

The Brazilian joined City in the summer and is one of their most vital players.

The midfielder has five goals and one assist so far and will look to contribute to Coventry's attack as the Blues hope to win two in a row.
