For the second game in a row, Bournemouth let slip a two-goal advantage to fall to their fourth successive league defeat at the hands of Leeds United.

Leeds went in front inside the first five minutes after Marcos Senesi gave away a penalty. Spanish forward Rodrigo made no mistake from the spot, sending Cherries goalkeeper Mark Travers the wrong way to put United in front.

However, goals from Marcus Tavernier, Philip Billing and Dominic Solanke put Gary O'Neil's side in the driving seat to grab their first win since the start of October.

Despite their advantage, the visitors collapsed under pressure once again at Elland Road, and goals from Liam Cooper and Crysencio Summerville put Bournemouth in a similar scenario to their defeat at home to Tottenham last weekend.

O’Neil spoke to AFC Bournemouth's website after the game, stating his "frustration" at another slip-up in a winning position:

"Gutted. It’s hard to sum it up really, I thought the boys got into an unbelievable position with some
fantastic play."

"Should’ve scored more. We can’t cope with real simple situations. They weren’t banging the door down, they weren’t cutting us open. At
this level you’re going to get punished (for mistakes), and we have been again."

"I feel for the boys in one way, but they need to learn quick, you need to manage those moments so much better, otherwise you’re
always going to be susceptible to pressure, which doesn’t really contain any real quality, it’s just hopeful balls and moments which you should manage so much better that cost you."

"It’s hard to see the positives at the moment with the frustration around the goals."

O'Neil also spoke about his side's two games against Everton next week in the EFL Cup and Premier League:

"The boys will be ready as you saw today, we just need to make sure we put some points on the board."

One man who O'Neil was full of praise for however was Marcus Tavernier, who scored his first Bournemouth goal at Elland Road:

"I thought he was excellent, I thought he was a real threat, didn’t deserve to be on a losing side at all."

Dominic Solanke also spoke to AFC Bournemouth's website after the game, and was equally frustrated:

"Really frustrated, second game in a row when we’re two goals up and manage to lose the game, it’s an issue we need to fix."

"It’s not really good enough losing with the two goal lead two games in a row, so we need to try and put it right."

"No positives at the moment, just negatives, so we need to try and put it right."

Speaking about his goal, Solanke said: "It was a nice finish, another goal obviously, a positive on my side, but it’s difficult to be
happy with that when we’ve just lost, but I’m happy to get another goal."

The striker also spoke about the Cherries' upcoming games against the Toffees:

"We need to look back at this game and see what we did wrong, we’ve got another game coming up, so it’s another chance for us to prove we can get back to the form we had earlier in the season."
