As the transfer deadline approaches, FC Nürnberg have completed the signings of Adam Nikci and Guido Burgstaller.

Burgstaller had been rumoured to have caught the Frankenstadion side's interest over the last few days and following his release from Cardiff City, he will therefore join on a free transfer.

"I am very pleased that the change to the club has come to pass," said the Austrian international. It has been confirmed he'll wear the number nine shirt, as he added: "The team has the entire environment, it is the most attractive in the league."

Swiss midfielder Nicki will add masses of experience from the Swiss League, as well as some brief appearances in the Bundesliga and Champions League.

Nicki was happy to be picked up by René Wiler's men, "I am pleased to get the chance to prove myself at a traditional club."

Both new signings could make their debut in a friendly game against Viktoria Plzen on Saturday.
