Borussia-Park will be hoping for yet another win to continue Andre Schubert’s impressive streak as caretaker manager against Bundesliga new boys Ingolstadt.

The two teams have been in good recent form

On Saturday afternoon, Borussia Mönchengladbach will host the Bavarians who travel to the North-West Germany with an admirable away record. Ingolstadt will be hoping for a European hangover from the Foals after their hard-fought midweek draw at home to Juventus. Only three points separate the sides but it is Gladbach who currently occupy a UEFA Europa League place in 6th positon.

Schubert was full of praise for this season’s surprise package: “We certainly won't be underestimating Ingolstadt. They're very strong away from home. They're having an impressive season so far. We know it will be a tough task." He continued, “We have to be creative and patient going forward in order to break down a very tight defence,” the German admitted on his pre-match press conference.

Gladbach have plenty of injury woes

The Rheinlanders will be without Martin Stranzl, Andre Hahn, Patrick Herrmann and Nico Schulz. In better injury news, Julian Korb and Tony Jantscke have returned to training and may play a part at the weekend. Swiss goalkeeper Yann Sommer is expected to carry on playing with his protective mask.

Danilo Soares, Almog Cohen, Maurice Multhaup and Roger will not be available for Ralph Hasenhüttl, as they make the long trip north. In what is more positive news, star midfielder Pascal Groß has extended his contract by a further year. That means he'll remain at the club until 2017.

Ingolstadt will be hoping to increase the gap from the relegation places and having had a week’s rest will look to be unchanged from the side that drew at Schalke last weekend. Die Schanzer have only lost one game away from home so far this season.
