The Tampa Bay Buccaneers secured their 12th win of the season after coming back to beat the New York Jets.

A tough first half for the Bucs

The New York Jets started the game on offense with Zach Wilson behind center and they got off to a roaring start as Michael Carter ran almost to the goal line.

The Jets scored the first touchdown of the game two plays later as Braxton Berrios ran it into the endzone to open the scoring and it was 7-0. Tom Brady responded right away on the following drive finding Mike Evans in the endzone to tie the game at seven.

The Bucs defense seemed to struggle to stop the run against the Jets even if they are the best team in the league when it came to stopping the run and Carter was causing problems for them.

The first quarter ended with the Jets once again in a position to score points and regain the lead as they did good job mixing running plays and passing plays which wreaked havoc again on the Tampa defense.

The Jets scored another touchdown as Berrios scored his second touchdown of the game as he caught the ball and ran three yards for the 14-7 lead and it looked like this game was going back and forth.

Brady went right back to using Mike Evans and Antonio Brown to great effect but was stopped by the Jets defense for the first stop of the game and Ryan Succop kicked a 39-yard field goal to reduce New York's lead to four.

The Bucs finally stopped the Jets offense but on the ensuing possession, Tampa got stopped by New York and was forced to punt for the first time in the game after what looked like a productive drive.

With 54 seconds left in the first half Brady got the ball back but ended up getting picked off by Brandin Echols with 16 seconds left in the second quarter and the Jets regained possession.

New York ended up kicking a field goal to give them a seven-point lead a 51 yard by Eddy Pinero and that was the last play of the first half.

Brady does it again

The Bucs started the third quarter with the ball once again but again were denied by the Jets defense and on the ensuing drive New York scored another touchdown to make it 24-10 for the home team.

Brady brought his team within seven when he found Cameron Brate on a fourth down conversion to make it 24-17. A bit of a mystery but we saw Antonio Brown take off his equipment and run into the tunnel not knowing what had happened and it looked like he was out.

After three unsuccessful drives the Bucs got within four points when Succop kicked a 27 yard field goal after failing once again to score a toucdown.

With two minutes left in the game in typical Tom Brady fashion he orchestrated another game winning drive that ended when he found Cyril Grayson Jr in the endzone with 15 seconds left and decided to go for the two point conversion to make it 28-24.

That was enough for Tampa to pull off a huge comeback win and stay in contention for the number one seed in the NFC. The Bucs will wrap up the season next week when they will host the Carolina Panthers.
