The New York Red Bulls complete a two-match homestand as they host Inter Miami at Red Bull Arena.

New York is on a three-match unbeaten run and sit in seventh place in the Eastern Conference while Miami have lost five in a row, having been shut out in four of those contests.

Team news

Caden Clark has been out through injury the last few games and looks set to miss out again. Andrew Gutman will again be absent with a knee injury while Aaron Long suffered a ruptured achilles on the weekend. Andres Reyes continues to suffer with a hamstring issue while Daniel Royer is out with a thigh injury.

Inter Miami will be without Gregoire as he is suspended after accumulating five yellow cards. Defender Joevin Jones picked up a knee injury while away on international duty and is expected to be out for a while. Robbie Robinson continues to suffer from a hamstring injury and won't make the trip to Harrison.

Goalkeeper Nick Marsman, defender Kieran Gibbs and attacker Indiana Vassilev are all eligible to make their debuts for Inter Miami.

Ones to watch

Patryk Klimala has recorded a goal or assist in four of his last five matches and has registered at least a point in all three matches he's played at Red Bull Arena. His goal from the penalty spot was New York's first since last September against Inter Miami.

Gonzalo Higuain is essentially the entire offense for the Herons. He has scored five of the club's nine goals as well as the match-winner the last time these two teams met.

Previous meetings

This is only the third all-time matchup between the Red Bulls and Herons with the clubs splitting the previous two meetings, each club winning on the road.

Last October 20th, Omir Fernandez opened the scoring in the 53rd minute for New York after taking a cross from Jared Stroud and beat John McCarthy to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.

Two minutes later, Miami was level as Higuain found Lewis Morgan and his long-distance cross connected with Matias Pellegrini and the Argentine roofed the shot for his first goal in MLS.

In the 81st minute, the Herons found a winner when Higuain drew a penalty, stepped up and fired a curler into the side of the net to complete his Man of the Match performance.
