The Philadelphia Union look to reclaim the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings when they host D.C. United at Subaru Park.

Having won just once in their last five matches, the Union haven't scored in their last two outings against Cincinnati and Columbus, sitting two points behind the New York Red Bulls.

D.C. United broke a six-match winless run with a 5-3 victory over Orlando, but are second-bottom in the East, only ahead of Chicago on goal difference.

Team news

Philadelphia Union

Paxten Aaronson, Brandan Craig, Jack McGlynn and Quinn Sullivan are all back from international duty, giving Philadelphia more offensive options in the midfield.

Jose Martinez returns from his one-match ban following a red card against Chicago.

The club announced the departure of Sergio Santos, who was traded to Cincinnati today for up to $925,000 in General Allocation Money.

Defender Stuart Findlay also looks set to depart the club as the Englishman has secured a move to English third tier side Oxford United.

Jack de Vries has made his loan move with Italian Serie B side Venezia permanent.

D.C. United

The Black and Red will be without several key players. Starting goalkeeper Bill Hamid is out with a hand injury while midfielder Moses Nyeman and defenders Jacob Green and Gaoussou Samake are all dealing with thigh issues. Adrien Perez has a foot injury.

Midfielder Russell Canouse is listed as questionable with a thigh injury.

Predicted lineups

Philadelphia Union: Blake; Findlay, Elliott, Glesnes; Wagner, Flach, Martinez, Mbaizo; Uhre, Gazdag; Carranza

D.C. United: Romo; Pines, Birnbaum, Hines-Ike; Smith, Canouse, Djeffal, Durkin, Gressel; Estrada, Flores

Ones to watch

Daniel Gazdag (Philadelphia Union)

Sitting underneath in the number ten spot, the Hungarian will look to continue a first full season in MLS that has seen him play at an MVP-type level while also setting up Mikael Uhre and Julian Carranza.

With D.C. United giving up multiple goals in 11 matches this year combined with the playmaking abilities of Gazdag, this could be the breakout offensive performance everyone has been waiting for.

Taxiarchis Fountas (D.C. United)

Quite simply, he's been the Black and Red's best player. His nine goals are a record for the most goals scored in a player's first ten matches in MLS.

Philadelphia will need to keep a close eye on the Greek wherever he goes on the pitch.
