Sara Errani did not fear to reveal that she is in a difficult phase of her career currently in a recent interview in Sport Face. She spoke about many things, including privacy and Garbine Muguruza's recent statements about relationships on tour.

Errani Talks About Tough Moments

The former world number five said that the first round defeat in Melbourne at the Australian Open has left its mark more than one could imagine. The Italian admitted that she is in a tough mental situation and she will need patience and time to get through this difficult moment."I believe that every person passes through what I call period of transit, during which you have the time to readjust and find yourself. Its due to moments like these that you learn about yourself, and therefore, to grow. The difficulties are overcome only with patience, and at the same time, with force."

The 2012 French Open runner-up had not seen the best results last year, managing to stay in the top 20 only by some runs here and there. Every player needs his or her time to think and grow up inside. Every tough moment is an opportunity to learn and become better. It is not an easy situation, but Errani is such a great fighter on court that this columnist thinks she can surely get through this rough patch as well.

Errani on Muguruza

Many players have taken a position after Garbine Muguruza's controversial statements that on tour "we all hate each other." Players have spoken about it on social media and answered with their opinions on the statement in interviews. Errani said that she strongly disagrees with her colleague, stating that every girl on tour has the same problems. Errani said that before they are classified as tennis players, they are all people. The Italian said in the interview that she has grown respect and affiliation for many players on tour over the years. Especially, she has grown friendships with many Spanish and Italian girls and they have been supporting each other out on tour.

Offseason, Privacy and Rio Olympics

The Italian seemed to be really enthusiastic about the upcoming Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She said that she loves the atmosphere and especially that she would like this time to be near the Olympic Village with the other athletes, not like she was situated in London. Also, as a multiple Fed Cup champion, she did admit that she feels great pride when she plays for her country. She was asked about how she has been handling the ongoing questions about her break up with Roberta Vinci as a doubles pair last year. Errani answered that the media has the tendency to invade people's privacy, but she has learned to handle it well the past few years in order to protect her privacy. As for the offseason, the Italian is glad that she is physically fine without many problems and she is ready for some hard practicing and trying her best in the coming months.

Errani dropped her opener at both the Australian Open and in Brisbane to Margarita Gasparyan and Belinda Bencic respectively. She did make the quarterfinals in Sydney, before failing to eventual champion Svetlana Kuznetsova. She is now bound to help the Italian team against France in the Fed Cup this weekend.
