Norwich City are understood to be interested in Crystal Palace forward, Glenn Murray

Murray, 31, is at the centre of a tug of war between the Canaries and Bournemouth, as both newly promoted sides look for reinforcements up front.

The 31-year-old looked an outcast at Selhurst Park until Alan Pardew was brought in. With the appointment of Pardew, Murray shone bagging seven goals to guide Palace clear of the relegation dogfight that was unfolding beneath them.

The veteran forward has worked his way through the football pyramid, starting his professional career at Barrow, before quickly being picked up by Carlisle United in 2004.

Various loan spells later, Murray ended up signing for Rochdale in 2007 where he spent a single season, scoring a respectable 21 goals in 42 games.

Before Murray's move to Selhurst Park, Murray plied his trade at the AMEX Stadium for Brighton and Hove Albion after impressing for Rochdale in the previous campaign. At the Seagulls, he scored 53 goals in 118 appearances before moving to his current club.

The experienced forward moved to Palace in 2011, and has again proven his pedigree with an impressive 45 goals in 109 matches for the London-based side.

Palace are understood to value Murray at £5-million, as they look to push on from a comfortable mid-table finish last term.

The Brady link

The Canaries have also been heavily linked with Robbie Brady of Hull City in recent days.

Brady, 23, is a full Republic of Ireland international and moved to the KC Stadium in 2011 on loan from Manchester United, but was taken permanently in 2013, after two successful loan spells.

The winger is adaptable and can play on the left wing or left back, something Alex Neil likes as he looks to add more strength and depth to his play-off winning side.

He spent most of last season in a more defensive role with his tally of goals proving that having failed to score in the league for the Tigers.

The Tigers price Brady at an astonishing £15-million with the Metro reporting Norwich have tabled a £2-million bid. Aston Villa are also linked with the in-demand dynamic player.
