Heung-Min Son has been rewarded for his stellar form with a nomination for the Premier League September Player of the Month award.

Son is up against some top talent for the award, with Liverpool's Adam Lallana and Manchester City's Kevin de Bruyne also up for the award after the attacking midfielders scored some important goals during the month. Romelu Lukaku and Theo Walcott are also up for the award, which was last won by a Tottenham player in March, Harry Kane scooping the award for the third time in his career.

Son and Poch up for gongs

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is nominated for the manager's version of the award, as Spurs look to complete a clean sweep of the monthly trophies.

Son has been nominated following a fantastic September, in which he emerged as a key force in the Spurs side, aiding them as they remained unbeaten in the Premier League thus far this season.

He was Man of the Match in two games during the month, scoring twice and bagging an assist in the 4-0 away demolition of Stoke City at the start of September, whilst the South Korean simply stole the show away at Middlesbrough, bagging a brace to help his side to a 2-1 win.

This good form was followed up by a good performance in the 2-0 home win over Manchester City on Sunday, with Son undroppable from the Tottenham team currently.

Life is good, bar the food...

Now away on international duty, the attacker has been reflecting on London living, revealing "I think London is the best city in the world", quite the compliment.

Continuing, Son said; "I think for my family, and for my life, it's better, London. And also for football, I am very comfortable to stay there, in London. Just the food is a bit difficult".
