Match week twelve of the Premier League will see Watford host Leicester City.
Last year’s champions are not proving to be title contenders again this year having only won three games so far this season and sitting 14th in the table.
Watford, however, are proving some critics wrong and are sitting comfortable in the top half of the table just six points outside that all important Europa League spot.
Defeat for the Hornets last time out
Walter Mazzarri's Watford did not manage to grab three points in their last game which was away at title challengers Liverpool. Liverpool put six past the Hornets and Heurelho Gomes was foced off with an injury to worsen their woes.
Not so good Leicester
Claudio Ranieri’s side created history last year by winning the title after there were pre-season odds of 5000/1 for them to win the league. However, this season they have not been so good with their last win coming back in October where they beat Crystal Palace 3-1. They shockingly lost 2-1 at home to West Brom prior to the international break.
Last time the teams met
The last time these two teams met was back in March last season where Leicester came out 1-0 winners with a Riyad Mahrez goal to give The Foxes all three points.
The Leicester fans who are making the trip down to Watford on Saturday will be having bad memories of the 2013 play-off semi-final at Vicarage Road where Troy Deeney scored a very late goal coming from an Anthony Knockaert penalty which secured Watford’s place in the Play-off final at Wembley.
Team news
Gomes is likely to be in the squad for Saturday's game as it is revealed that he has not sustained any serious damage to his knee in Watford’s last game against Liverpool. Jose Holebas will be sitting in the stands for this game as he is suspended having picked up five yellow cards so far this season. Sebastian Prödl is likely to return to the team after he missed the Liverpool game due to a groin strain. Others that are likely to return are Isaac Success and Craig Cathcart.
For the Foxes, Kasper Schmeichel is still out of action with a fractured hand which he picked up in their Champions League game against FC Copenhagen. Danny Drinkwater could also be out of action as he has picked up a knock as well as Demarai Gray.
