Ancelotti has also said that Icelandic midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson is a member of the squad who could be management material after his playing days are over.

“Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman have all the qualities to be good managers, Sigurdsson could also be a good manager,” Ancelotti said to the club website.

Everton are preparing to face Champions League hopefuls Leicester City on Wednesday. A win for the toffees could see them climb into the top half of the table as they continue their push to qualify for Europe.

The management qualities and tactical knowledge shown by the three senior players will fill Ancelotti with hope as he tries to end the season strongly.

“The tactical knowledge comes from playing a lot of football and learning from experience and different people.

“They have the attitude and professionalism which are important qualities to be a good manager.

“And I am looking to see if someone [in Everton’s squad] can be a manager in the future.”
