Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with a move for Bayern Munich youngster Angelo Stiller.

The 19-year-old, who won the 3. Liga title with Bayern's reserve team last season, made his Germany U20 debut last month.

Should Stiller complete a move to Molineux he will link up with former Bayern Munich II teammate Meritan Shabani, who left Bavaria for Wolverhampton last summer.

Stiller's career so far

The German youngster has yet to make a first team appearance for Bayern Munich, but has been a regular in their reserve team for the past two seasons.

Before that Stiller progressed through the U17 and U19 sides, scoring seven goals in a combined 61 appearances.

The youngster made 17 appearances for Bayern Munich II last year as they won the 3.Liga title, but the side were unable to be promoted as German rules forbid academy sides progressing further than the third tier.

Having been capped at U17 and U18 level for Germany, Stiller was fast-tracked to the U20 squad for last month's matches and made his debut in a 2-1 defeat to Denmark

Will Wolves face competition?

With Stiller so highly-rated and out of contract next summer, Wolves chairman Jeff Shi will have to act quickly if he is to secure the German's signature.

Arsenal were linked with the 19-year-old last summer, but were reportedly put off by Bayern's insistence on a buy back clause in his contract.

As with so many of Wolves' young signings in recent years, Stiller could be sold by a clear pathway for young players making their way into the first team setup, with Nuno's small squad meaning the likes of Oskar Buur, Lewis Richards and Anders Sondergaard have found themselves in the matchday 18 due to injuries.

The influence of Meritan Shabani could also swing a deal in Wolves' favour, with Stiller a former team mate of the Wanderers midfielder.

Shabani tore his ACL on his first team debut in last year's Carabao Cup tie against Reading, but has recovered from his setback to start on the bench in the recent defeat against West Ham
