Barnsley welcome Millwall to Oakwell on Saturday and both sides will be looking to maintain their unbeaten runs, when they meet on the weekend.

The Tykes beat Stoke City in midweek 2-0, and will be looking to carry on their excellent form that has left them just one point outside the play offs with a game in hand.

The Lions come into the game off the back of a 1-1 draw away at Luton Town. The visitors are nine unbeaten in the league and their fine form, has seen them rise to 11th.

Valerien Ismael will be without Ben Williams and Liam Kitching as both remain out through injury.

Gary Rowett has a big injury list and he could be without six first teamers when his side travel to Yorkshire, with Connor Mahoney, Kenneth Zohore, Murray Wallace, Maikel Kieftenbeld, Ryan Leonard and Jake Cooper who have all not featured since their respective injury problems.

  • Ones to watch

Alex Mowatt - Barnsley

The influential midfielder has been key to Barnsley's excellent season and the last time the two sides met, Mowatt scored a screamer. He has scored five goals in the league this year and contributed with three assists.

He is out of contract in the summer, and Tykes fans will be hoping he will extend his stay at Oakwell for years to come.

George Evans - Millwall

Deadline day signing George Evans has been brilliant since making his move to South Bermondsey, he has been operating mostly in a three at the back, but has stepped into his favoured position, central midfield on a couple of occasions.

The former Derby County man scored his first goal for the Lions on Tuesday night as they salvaged a late point against Luton.

  • Previous meetings

Barnsley have been somewhat of a bogey team to Millwall in recent years, in the last fixture it ended 1-1 at The Den. In the last five meetings, Barnsley have edged it, winning two, with two draws, and with Millwall winning one.

Due to the current national lockdown, there will be no fans in attendance when the sides meet at Oakwell. This means the game is available on iFollow through Barnsley's and Millwall's websites, with passes priced at £10.

The game kicks off at 15:00 GMT on Saturday 27th February 2021.
