Norwich are looking to extend their lead at the top of the Championship table.

Norwich City will want to extend their lead at the top for the Championship table against Brentford on Wednesday evening.

The Canaries are currently seven points clear at the top of the table and could end Wednesday ten points clear if they win and other results go their way.

Meanwhile, Brentford are in second place, seven points off their opponents. They have been on bad form of late, losing three of their last six games in the league.

Team news

Norwich will be without Todd Cantwell after he missed their win over Wycombe Wanderers on Sunday, while Przemyslaw Placheta could come in for Onel Hernandez.

Brentford will have defenders Rico Henry and Pontus Jansson unavailable, along with Shandon Baptiste.

Ones to watch

Emi Buendia

The Argentinian has been one of the best players in the division this season, claiming the most assists so far this season with ten, whilst also scoring nine goals.

Ivan Toney

The striker has been in incredible form this season, being the top scorer in the league, scoring 25 goals so far. His goalscoring has attracted the likes of Leicester City.

Previous meetings

The last time these two sides met was earlier in the season when they drew 1-1 at the Brentford Community Stadium. A late Kenny McLean equaliser cancelled out Ivan Toney's opener.
