Play-off hopefuls Coventry City will play host to play-off favourites Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon.

After losing their last two games, Coventry will face a tough task as they face an opponent fresh off of the back of a 4-1 victory over Middlesbrough.

Sheffield United sit firmly in play-off contention, in fifth place with a game in-hand on the teams above them, whereas their hosts remain just hopeful of a space in the top six, sitting six points away with a game in-hand only on fellow play-off dreamers Preston North End.

Team news

Coventry face some selection issues as Jodi Jones, captain Liam Kelly and Josh Eccles are all definitely out. The hosts will be boosted by the renewed availability of Matt Gooden, who made his first start since his injury in the 1-0 loss to Luton Town last time out.

David McGoldrick and Jayden Bogle are both expected to be out for the season with leg injuries. Enda Stevens is also expected to remain on the sidelines with a calf problem. The Blades will be glad to have Ben Osborn at their disposal again, as the wing-back made his return in the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.

Predicted lineups:

Coventry: Moore, Rose, McFazdean, Clarke-Salter, Kane, Maatsen, Allen, Hamer, Waghorn, Godden, Gyokeres

Sheffield United: Foderingham, Davies, Egan, Robinson, Osborn, Norrington-Davies, Fleck, Norwood, Berge, Gibbs-White, Sharp

Ones to watch

Morgan Gibbs-White

The on-loan Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder scored with an outrageous flick in the win over Middlesbrough, and assisted Billy Sharp's opener against Nottingham Forest in the game before. The starlet will be tipped to continue his rich vein of form against Coventry.

Viktor Gyokeres

Coventry's top scorer has not hit the net in his last three games, but a stern test against The Blades is sure to have him licking his lips at the chance to get firing again.

Previous meetings

The last time these two sides faced off was in a bore 0-0 draw at Bramall Lane.

How to watch

The game will kick-off at 15:00 GMT at the Coventry Building Society Stadium in Coventry, England on Saturday March 12. The game will not be broadcast on television, although those outside of the UK and Ireland can purchase a match pass via either club website to watch a live stream of the game.
