Hull City look for a third successive win as they host Blackburn Rovers at the MKM Stadium.

Consecutive victories over Blackpool and neighbors Rotherham United see the Tigers poised to break into the top half of the EFL Championship should they defeat Blackburn.

Rovers are in fine form themselves with three wins on the bounce and should they take all three points back to Lancashire, they could return to the top of the Championship table.

Team news

Hull City

Harvey Vale and Salah-Eddine Oulad M'Hand are back in training as both have a chance to feature. Vale has been out since picking up an injury with the England U-20's while Ould M'Hand joined on from Arsenal, but has yet to make his debut.

Callum Elder's status is up in the air with the full-back having missed the Tigers' last three matches through injury. Manager Andy Dawson may not want to risk him with a busy fixture list ahead.

Dawson may be in charge of Hull for the final time as the club is close to appointing ex-Tiger Liam Rosenior as their permanent manager.

Blackburn Rovers

The Lancashire outfit are without Ryan Hedges, who was forced off against Birmingham with a groin injury and Callum Brittain, injured in the midweek contest against Sunderland.

Sam Szmodics is set to return after a stiff neck kept him out on the weekend with ex-Hull man Daniel Ayala also returning after an undisclosed injury kept him out of the last two matches.

Likely lineups

Hull City: Baxter; Greaves, Figueiredo, Jones, Christie; Woods, Seri; Longman, Tufan, Docherty; Estupiñán

Blackburn Rovers: Kaminski; Carter, Hyam, S. Wharton; Pickering, Morton, Travis, Hedges; A. Wharton; Gallagher, Brereton

Key players

Oscar Estupinan (Hull City)

The Tigers frontman is making quite an impression in his first season in Yorkshire, leading the team with eight goals.

He's without a goal since scoring against Wigan on October 5, but Hull have managed seven goals in that time, giving the Turk the support he needs to try and balance out the offense.

Ben Brereton (Blackburn Rovers)

Like Estupinan, he leads his side with eight goals after scoring 22 last season in just 34 appearances and has scored on 14.8% of his shots.

Much of Rovers’ success is tied to the Chilean as the Lancashire outfit have won six of the seven matches he has scored in this season.
