Bournemouth responded to their disappointing loss at Elland Road by knocking Everton out of the EFL Cup, to progress to the Last 16 of the competition.
The Cherries had lost their last two games despite leading by two goals in both games against Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United.
However, it would be a different story this time around for Gary O'Neil's side, who ensured they wouldn't be dragged down again.
A 4-1 win against the Toffees will give Bournemouth confidence going into Saturday's game in the Premier League against Frank Lampard's side.
Jamal Lowe opened the scoring for the home side, with Junior Stanislas, Emiliano Marcondes and Jaidon Anthony also adding their name to the scoresheet.
Lowe spoke to AFC Bournemouth's official website, and was delighted with the win and a goal:
"Really pleased, happy to get through the game injury free. Everyone played their heart out and left it all on there, I think it shows how hard we work during the week that players who haven't played that much were able to put out a performance like that today. "
"Games like this are a good opportunity to get minutes and get fitness, we've got a very competitive squad, and everyone out there was looking to push themselves into the squad for the premier League games."
"Those weeks are hard (out squad), but everyone was professional about it. Everyone deserved what they got today."
The Jamaican international also spoke ahead of the game against their cup opponents in the Premier League on Saturday:
"I think it will give us a slight physiological edge on Everton, I feel like they'll have a little bit of doubt in their mind, and we'll go into the game confidently."
Gary O'Neil also spoke after the game, and praised his sides' "resilience" in response to their last two games:
"Really pleased, obviously made some changes, some boys who are coming back from injury haven't played much, they put in a performance they can be very proud of, I thought they were excellent, nailed the game plan again, showed some resilience when it goes to 2-1, some really good stuff out there"
"You need a few things to go your way, the way they haven't really in recent games,it was nice today to have some things that go your way. The boys deserved it they were very very good."
"I was interested when it went to 2-1, we needed to improve in these situations, and the boys were much better at it. Not perfect there were still things we could've done better in that spell."
"Great to get Junior (Stanislas) for an hour, Jamal (Lowe) gets his goal, Emi (Marcondes) always manages to get a goal when he comes on for us, delighted for the goalscorers."
"Jack Stephens was excellent, Jack Stacey was brilliant, Jordan Zemura was great ,Joe (Rothwell) and Ben (Pearson) were excellent, so many good performances."
On Siriki Dembele after coming on and picking up an assist:
"He's a talented boy, he has big strengths, so really pleased for him."
"Pleased for all of them, they're all equally important to me as each other, I have full trust and belief in all of them, and I'm delighted they get to go out there this evening and put on a performance that the fans and themselves can be proud of."
On Saturday's game against Everton:
"It will be a very different game, Everton played a very strong team this evening, shows how strong their squad is, they made a lot of changes and it was still a very strong team, Saturday will be completely different."
"I think both teams were trying not to show their hand too much today, tactically probably slightly different than what I expect at the weekend , it will be a tough game, we'll be getting to work now to make sure we try and take a positive result."
This weekend will be the last round of Premier League fixtures until after the World Cup, with Bournemouth's next game after Everton not coming until the 27th of December, when they travel to London to face Chelsea.
