The transfer window officially opens tomorrow, and it would seem that Arsenal are already in business to bring in some needed reinforcements ahead of the upcoming season.

Having already signed Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder, Granit Xhaka, for a fee believed to be around £35 million, the Gunners are back in the market, as a bid was confirmed today by Japanese starlet Takuma Asano

Who is Takuma Asano?

It would not be an offence to not know in depth just who the man in the spotlight is; 21-year-old Asano is a striker playing in Japan's answer to the Premier League. The youngster found the back of the net seven times in a total number of 19 appearances for his current club - Sanfrecce Hiroshima - Asano also provided his teammates with five assists in this time.

Blushing following his offer from Arsenal.

The youngster reacted in a way that most players of his age would, should they recieve an offer from a club like Arsenal. He admitted that he was 'a little stunned' when the offer was confirmed, followed by the reassurance that his age is just a number in terms of the front mans maturity.

"I feel like I have the confidence to succeed wherever I go." he declared. "If I am loaned elsewhere, my take on it is that I give it 100%." Time will only tell if the dream plays out for Asano.

Arsene Wenger worked in Japan before taking on the managers role at Arsenal many years ago. The Frenchman admitted his fascination with the Japanese game, following his honours achieved in the East Asia. It's no lie that the Gunners are in desperate need of a striker, taking Wengers experience in Japan into consideration, will Asano be the man the fill the gap, or be a component in the machine that is the notoriously satisfying Arsenal attack?
