The Manchester City starlet extended his deal at the Etihad for a further two years at the club as he continues to learn his trade under new Manager pep Guardiola.

Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho has penned a new deal at the club which keeps him tied till 2021, with his previous deal running out in 2019.

The Nigerian international was rewarded for having a breakthrough campaign where he scored 14 goals in all competitions in just 11 starts last season.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said " I can't express how i'm feeling, I am happy to sign my new deal for this club, I'm excited". Speaking further, he said "I just need to keep working hard and express my feelings on the pitch and work to do great things for the team"

Manager Pep Guardiola says he hopes to help Iheanacho maximise his full potential. " Kelechi is a natural goal scorer. I knew about him before I arrived, but I have been really impressed with him since I arrived. I like his personality, his attitude, his ability. We hope to help him reach the highest level and to realise his full potential".
